Draftsman - Structural

Shelter Group is seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman to prepare detailed structural shop drawings and technical documentation for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in structural detailing, drawing coordination, and construction documentation using industry-standard drafting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare structural shop drawings and detailing using AutoCAD and Tekla Structures.
• Develop reinforcement detailing, steel fabrication, and erection drawings.
• Coordinate structural drawings with Architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Prepare foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and connection details.
• Review and incorporate design revisions, site changes, and consultant comments.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare as-built drawings.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for concrete, reinforcement, and structural steel works.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, structural codes, and quality standards.
• Support engineers, project teams, and site staff with technical drafting requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a Structural Draftsman.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures.
• Experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing.
• Knowledge of construction standards, shop drawings, and coordination processes
