Draftsperson (Junior Level - Civil)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed 2D and 3D civil engineering drawings such as site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, roadworks, and utility networks (water, sewerage, stormwater).
• Collaborate closely with Civil Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers to interpret design briefs and translate them into precise drawings.
• Ensure that all drafting work complies with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Update and revise drawings in response to feedback, design modifications, or changes in site conditions.
• Maintain an organized system for managing drawing files, records, and associated documentation.
• Assist in extracting quantities and preparing material take-offs from construction drawings.
• Track and document all drawing revisions and ensure version control across all project files.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of drafting standards, templates, and libraries.
• Support the preparation of permit submission drawings and documentation required by authorities.
• Participate in design coordination and review meetings, offering input from a drafting and detailing perspective.
• Prepare and compile as-built drawings at project handover.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant drafting experience in civil engineering projects, preferably including high-rise buildings and villa developments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; familiarity with other design tools such as Revit, SketchUp, or Civil 3D is a plus.
• Good understanding of civil engineering fundamentals and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and survey data.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and within a team environment.
