Draughtsman

1.1. Responsibilities

1. Take accurate site measurements and prepare existing layout drawings

2. Develop detailed drawings based on approved 3D designs and concepts

3. Prepare complete sets of drawings; Layouts (Flooring, Ceiling, Furniture, Wall Finishes, Lighting, Plumbing, Electrical …etc.), elevations, sections, and joinery details

4. Align and develop the company’s CAD guidelines and templates to ensure consistency across projects

5. Systemize and manage the use of AutoCAD files, including layering standards, naming conventions, and title blocks

6. Coordinate with interior designers to ensure drawings reflect the latest design updates and material selections

7. Review and adjust drawings for accuracy, technical clarity, and constructability

8. Keep track of drawing revisions and maintain proper documentation and revisions control

9. Support the design team by producing technical drawings required for client presentations and fit-out coordination

10. Assist in compiling design documentation for tender or construction packages

1.2. Requirements / Skills

- 3–5 years of experience as an Interior Draughtsman in a design or fit-out company (UAE experience preferred)

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp is a plus

- Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D is a plus

- Ability to read the 3D images and turn them into 2D details

- Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and meet deadlines

- Excellent understanding of interior detailing, joinery drawings, and space planning

- Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and structural drawings

- Strong organizational skills and experience with structured folder systems
