Driver

Position Overview:

The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of personnel, materials, and equipment to various locations as required by the company. The role requires adherence to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations to ensure secure and reliable delivery services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, etc.) to transport staff, tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites, offices, suppliers, or other designated locations.
• Inspect vehicles daily before use to ensure they are in good working condition; report any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
• Plan routes in advance to optimize travel time and fuel efficiency.
• Load and unload materials or equipment as necessary, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and any incidents or accidents.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning and refueling.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered.
• Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality, conduct, and appearance.

Qualifications:

• Valid driving license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
• Proven driving experience with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and safe driving practices.
• Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours of driving.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with GPS and navigation tools is preferred.
