Car Driver Job Description

Job Summary

The Car Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for authorized personnel, clients, or deliveries. The driver ensures that the vehicle is always in excellent operating condition and maintains the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Safe Driving and Transportation

• Safety First: Operate the vehicle safely and responsibly at all times, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes using GPS and real-time traffic updates to ensure punctuality and avoid unnecessary delays.
• Scheduled Runs: Transport staff, executives, clients, from various destinations, including offices documents, packages, and payments (e.g., bank deposits, utility bills) as required.

2. Vehicle Maintenance and Administration

• Daily Inspection: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, and fluid levels.
• Cleanliness: Ensure the car is consistently clean, well-maintained, and presentable, both inside and out.
• Repairs & Servicing: Coordinate and monitor necessary repairs, scheduled servicing, and annual vehicle inspections, reporting all maintenance needs to the Admin promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logbooks of mileage, fuel consumption, and travel times. Ensure all vehicle registration and insurance documents are current.

3. Professionalism and Service

• Punctuality: Arrive at pick-up points ahead of schedule and be ready to drive at the designated time.
• Customer Service: Maintain a high level of courtesy, politeness, and professionalism when interacting with passengers.
• Discretion: Handle all passenger information and conversations with the utmost confidentiality.

*Experience

Proven work experience as a professional Car Driver, Chauffeur, or similar role (e.g., minimum 2-3 years).

*Licensing

A valid, appropriate Driver's License.

*Driving Record

A clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

*Knowledge

Excellent knowledge of local routes, city layouts, and traffic patterns. Proficient use of GPS and navigation apps.

*Soft Skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills. A calm, professional, and patient demeanor, especially under pressure (e.g., heavy traffic).

*Other

Ability to pass a background check and a routine physical examination.
