Right Way Elevator Maintenance (Right Way) is part of American Elevator Group (AEG), the largest independent elevator service company in North America, consisting of a collection of well-established elevator service companies operating throughout the United States. Backed by Arcline Investment Management, AEG has a significant footprint in the elevator industry and is rapidly growing. Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Driver to work out of the Tampa, FL metro area to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible.

The Driver, who under the direction of the Modernization Manager, will primarily be responsible for arranging shipments of materials, inspecting, and verifying goods, managing inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies, and operating a forklift. You will also complete deliveries on behalf of the warehouse when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and ship orders, receive inbound, inventory put away, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Complete deliveries in the tri-state area via 14’ to 16’ box truck, as required.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and class: D (standard) driver license.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Experience with forklift operations.
  • Capable of physical labor (lifting, moving inventory, etc.).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly flexible and a strong team player.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to grasp an understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.

Work Environment & Hazards:

  • This job operates in largely in a general warehouse environment.
  • Risk of injury from heavy equipment.

Special Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to drive a box truck for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds at times.
