Requirements:

Role Summary

Drivers are responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Drivers will pick up waste at a customers' location and deliver it to recycling/disposal facilities. Drivers are responsible for the accurate completion of the paperwork required for each pickup/delivery. Drivers are required to keep company vehicles maintained in accordance with company policy.

Job Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles, including tankers, semi-tractors, and flatbeds, in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Load and unload hazardous waste containers using proper procedures and safety protocols.
  • Transport hazardous materials in accordance with all DOT and company regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections; report defects or maintenance needs immediately.
  • Ensure all containers are properly marked, labeled, and placarded per regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately complete and maintain required documentation, including driver logs, manifests, bills of lading, and work orders.
  • Verify shipment details and ensure proper documentation accompanies all loads.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch/operations regarding route status, delays, or issues.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules, including early start times as required.
  • Participate in required safety meetings and ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand trucks and forklifts).
  • Commercial driver must pass DOT drug screen, alcohol test and physical.
  • 40 Hour Hazwoper Certificate.
  • Ability to perform physical labor.
  • Valid CDL (Class A & B).
  • Tanker Endorsement, Hazardous Waste Endorsement.
