Driver Manager/Dispatcher

Position Overview:
We are seeking a part time Dispatcher / Driver Manager to join our operations team. This role is critical in keeping our drivers moving, loads on schedule, and customers satisfied. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a background in transportation or logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and manage a fleet of company drivers and/or owner-operators.
• Monitor load progress and proactively resolve issues with drivers, customers, and operations.
• Ensure DOT compliance, driver HOS (hours of service), and safety regulations are followed.
• Maintain strong working relationships with drivers to promote retention and efficiency.
• Coordinate with customer service, sales, and shop personnel to maximize utilization.
• Track and update load statuses in McLeod (TMS) and other company systems.
• Provide after-hours or weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a dispatcher, driver manager, or in logistics/transportation operations preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer proficiency (McLeod or similar TMS experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking industry standards.
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
