Driver (No DOT/CDL)

Job Description:

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Driver for our Amrep brand supporting our Ontario, CA manufacturing operation. The Driver is required to drive for pick and deliver parts to and from customer sites as needed.

Pay Rate: $20.04

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a tractor-trailer type truck to and from designated locations
• Maintains accurate records of travel, mileage and related expenses
• Inspects and performs basic vehicle maintenance. In the event the Driver is not able to perform the required task, they will coordinate with the lead to perform adequate maintenance
• Maintains a safe shop environment at all times and wears all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing the assigned tasks; stops working immediately in the event of a non-conformance
• Report to supervisor immediately any unstable act or condition that requires corrective action
• Must practice 5S within defined work area, returns all common tools to their proper place when not in use, and cleans assigned work area once all work has been completed; the work area must be cleared of all debris and in the event a tool does not have an assigned “home” place, the driver will consult the team lead/supervisor to establish one
• Performs other duties as directed by lead or supervisor

Qualifications

• Clean DOT record
• Customer service oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Class C Driver License Required
• Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements
