Driver - Non Emergency Medical Transportation

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles to transport clients efficiently and comfortably
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures to ensure secure transportation experiences for all clients

Experience

• Previous shuttle driving or NEMT experience desire.
• Proven ability to operate commercial vehicles safely, including knowledge of paratransit or heavy lifting requirements
• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with diverse clients and team members
• Experience in customer service roles that require professionalism, patience, and active listening
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and support vehicle upkeep
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and assist passengers with mobility needs confidently

This is a part-time contractual 1099 position.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
