Incoming Phone Call Responsibilities

Accesses caller’s Prospect record or Application in system via telephone number, name, SSN, or other identifying information.
- If an application exists, makes any necessary updates to information.
- If an application does not exist, creates a manual application by gathering the necessary information from the caller.
Incoming Application Responsibilities

Calls the applicant to gather all the necessary information and begin screening process.
- Determines eligibility for hire, forwards application to Manager - Recruiting if unsure.

Enters information into a new task so other Driver Recruiters may assist applicant, if necessary.

If application requires no further information and applicant is deemed hirable, schedules orientation and ensures all information is entered accurately.

Once orientation is scheduled, updates status application accordingly and creates follow-up reminder to contact applicant and confirm attendance.
- If unable to reach an applicant by phone when attempting to make further contact, sends email containing approval information and continues to attempt contact by calling candidate periodically.
- Changes application status to DQ – No Contact if applicant does not return contact within 30 days.
Rehire Responsibilities

Merges duplicate applications and updates applicant info, as necessary.
- Submits rehire request to the Recruiting Rehire distribution list per the SOP - Driver Rehire Eligibility Inquiry.
- Once the applicant is approved, determines if applicant needs to attend orientation.
- If the applicant has been gone more than 90 days, schedules the applicant for orientation.

If the applicant has been gone less than 90 days:

Determines if the applicant will need to submit to pre-employment drug/alcohol testing.
- If no drug test is required, finds out when the applicant is returning to TransAm.
- If a drug test is required, schedules the driver to come in Monday-Thursday no later than 2:00 p.m.
- Arranges hotel room and transportation to the TA terminal for the applicant.
