We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver Manager to oversee driver relations, retention, and performance. This person will serve as the main point of contact for company drivers—ensuring each driver receives consistent support, communication, and recognition, while maintaining alignment with company standards and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with company drivers.
- Serve as the main liaison between drivers and all internal departments (dispatch, safety, HR, accounting).
- Monitor driver satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and take proactive steps to improve retention.
- Conduct regular check-ins with drivers regarding pay, miles, home time, and operational support.
- Track driver performance metrics and collaborate with dispatch and safety to resolve performance or compliance issues.
- Support new driver onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Identify driver concerns and escalate issues appropriately while promoting a positive company culture.
- Assist with driver recognition, reward, and performance improvement programs.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of driver interactions and retention data.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in driver management, dispatch, or HR within a trucking company.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of OTR and flatbed operations preferred.
- Must work on-site in Elgin, IL (8 AM – 5 PM).

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
