Drop in Child Care Staff/Before and After School Substitute

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated drop in child care staff to join our team! As a drop in child care staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for our participants. You will be responsible for supervising activities, mentoring students, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. The ages of children vary from 4 months to nine year olds. We are looking for someone Monday/Wednesday/Thursday from 5:00pm-7:30pm, Fridays from 4:30pm-6:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-11:30am.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with students during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical fitness.
• Provide support in behavior management and conflict resolution among students to maintain a harmonious environment.
• Foster positive relationships with participants through effective communication and active listening.
• Assist in the development of educational programs that align with the program’s mission and values.
• Serve as a role model by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and enthusiasm in all interactions.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to create a cohesive team environment that prioritizes participant experiences.
• Change diapers and provide snack as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in babysitting, tutoring, or childcare is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavior management and classroom management techniques is advantageous.
• Experience working with students or children in a camp or daycare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inspire young minds.
• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed.
• Passion for working with children and commitment to fostering their growth in a supportive environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
