Drupal Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drupal Developer with strong PHP backend expertise to maintain, support, and enhance an existing enterprise Drupal application. The role is responsible for keeping the platform secure, stable, and performant: resolving issues, applying security updates, developing and maintaining custom modules and integrations, and improving legacy code following development standards and best practices. Experience supporting and modernizing legacy Drupal projects is essential.

Key Responsibilitie

• sMaintain, support, and enhance existing Drupal-based websites and web applications
• .Develop, customise, and maintain custom Drupal modules, themes, and backend functionality
• .Maintain and refactor backend logic in PHP, improving legacy code towards current coding standards
• .Apply Drupal core and contributed-module security updates and patches promptly
• .Maintain and extend integrations with REST APIs and third-party systems
• .Optimise application performance, security, scalability, and reliability
• .Troubleshoot production issues and provide L2/L3 technical support
• .Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
• .Assess upgrade readiness and contribute to migration planning towards supported Drupal versions
• .Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, business analysts, and project managers
• .Prepare technical documentation and mentor junior developers when required

Required Qualificatio

• nsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related fiel
• d.5+ years of professional experience in Drupal development, including maintaining and supporting existing production application
• s.Strong experience with Drupal 9 / Drupal 10 and Drupal CMS architecture; familiarity with legacy versions (Drupal 7/8) is a strong plu
• s.Strong proficiency in PHP (OOP), design patterns, and backend development concepts, including working with and upgrading older PHP codebase
• s.Proven experience developing and maintaining custom Drupal modules and theme
• s.Experience integrating Drupal with REST APIs and third-party system
• s.Experience with the Drupal security update process and secure coding practice
• s.Good knowledge of MySQL, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuer
