The Drywall Finisher is responsible for preparing unfinished interior drywall panels for painting by taping and finishing joints and imperfections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.

Smooth out imperfections.

Fill joints in-between panels with spackle.

Press paper tape into compound.

Smooth away excess material.

Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle.

Apply second and third coats of compound. Sand areas after each coast.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of building as needed.

Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)

Drywall Finishing Experience (required)

Ability to finish drywall

Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Ability to work independently and with a work crew.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installing drywall.
