The Drywall Superintendent will oversee all aspects of drywall installation, finishing, and repairs on construction projects. This role is responsible for managing crews, coordinating with project managers and other trades, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining project schedules. The Drywall Superintendent is also expected to uphold safety protocols, manage resources efficiently, and maintain clear communication across the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and manage drywall installation projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely project completion.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure efficient workflow.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Monitor material inventory and order supplies as needed.
Resolve on-site issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Prepare and submit reports and other documentation in a timely manner.
Conduct weekly safety meetings and address potential hazards promptly.
Conduct site inspections to assess work quality and compliance with building codes.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
5+ years of experience in drywall supervision or construction management (required)
