Behavioral Health and Habilitation Administration is seeking a highly motivated LPN for Juniper Ward. You will experience the rewarding feeling of being alongside a dedicated team that shares your same passion for being committed to success.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.

Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

The shift for this position is: DAY 06:30AM – 7:00PM
Week 1: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Some of what you'll do:
  • Administer medications and provide treatments
  • Observe, report, and document changes in patients' condition
  • Directly assists patients; Safely, physically and therapeutically intervene with patients exhibiting high-risk behaviors
  • Pursue and contain an escape risk
  • Participates in containment of aggressive patients during Code Gray response and under the direction of the Charge Nurse
  • Applies restraints to patients determined to be a danger to self or others under the guidance of the RN
  • Educate patients in adaptive living skills
  • Transport patient to appoints/classes on campus or off campus grounds, if necessary

What we're looking for:

  • Proven ability to discern and apply practical nursing principles and concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret basic physical and treatment techniques
  • Detail-oriented reporting and ability to relay clear, accurate information

Preferred Qualification:

  • CPR certified
