Ductman

The Ductman will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of ducting systems within residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The role involves ensuring proper air distribution and ventilation as part of the facility’s HVAC maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and secure ducts, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications and standards.
• Perform regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of duct systems to ensure proper airflow and efficiency.
• Repair and replace damaged or leaking ducts, insulation, and air distribution components.
• Assist HVAC technicians in installation and maintenance of air handling units and ventilation systems.
• Measure and cut sheet metal, fiberglass, or flexible ducts to required dimensions.
• Seal joints and seams to prevent air leakage and ensure system efficiency.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with company policies and Qatar’s safety regulations.
• Report any faults, damages, or irregularities in duct systems to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Recruitments:

• Technical diploma or certificate in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Duct man in building maintenance or facility management.
• Experience in duct fabrication, installation, and repair.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and air distribution principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Knowledge of safety practices and use of hand/power tools.
