Responsibilities

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for loading and delivering legal loads of material to a destination in a safe and timely manner.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Driving/Operating Vehicle- Ability to drive a dump truck and truck and pup
• Transportation and Delivery of materials- Transporting crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from specified locations
• Administrative Tracking- Completing daily truck logs
• Safety- Willingness to observe all safety precautions while driving and delivering materials
• Upholding the Purpose Document of Tapani Inc. - Your actions and behaviors support Strong Teams and Successful Projects

Skills and Qualifications

As a Dump Truck Driver, you establish and continue to grow the following skills and qualifications:

• Knowledge of operating a dump truck- Having a solid understanding of the vehicle and how it operates

• Communication Skills- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with coworkers

• Decision Making Skills- Ability to think quickly and adjust accordingly
• Some higher education or vocational training specializing in truck driving
• 1-2 years of experience driving in the construction industry
• Must have Class A CDL certification
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certification
• Ability to work overtime, occasional evenings, and weekends

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $25.91 - $38.86 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

For this position, an individual must be physically able to perform assigned tasks, and be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 40 lbs. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
