Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers and roll-off trucks, to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or waste to designated locations.
• Load and unload freight accurately using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
• Drive route schedules efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance needs are addressed promptly.
• Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, routes, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.
• Assist with the setup and securement of loads on flatbed or refrigerated trailers as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery times and address any issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks in a commercial driving environment.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and truck driving regulations.
• Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling.
• Knowledge of different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and freight containers.
• Delivery driver experience preferred, especially in construction or waste management sectors.
• Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts safely when needed.
