Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, load & unload procedures, and route navigation will ensure timely deliveries and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, demolition, or waste management projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks with manual transmission or other specified vehicle types to transport materials across designated routes.
• Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure handling of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to verify mechanical condition and safety compliance.
• Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary for traffic or site conditions to meet project deadlines.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Knowledge of manual transmission operation preferred.
• Familiarity with freight handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Experience with route driving in various terrains and weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
