Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles such as roll-off trucks and flatbed trucks to transport materials to designated locations
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure handling of cargo
• Follow established routes and schedules to meet project deadlines while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking brakes, lights, tires, fluid levels, and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports for compliance and operational efficiency
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit
• Assist with the setup and securing of loads on refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, or flatbeds as needed for specialized freight

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record, preferably with endorsements for manual transmission operation
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight loading/unloading and route driving
• Familiarity with operating various truck types such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and flatbeds
• Ability to manually operate equipment like forklifts for loading/unloading cargo when necessary
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and heavy vehicle operation in diverse environments
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
• Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and handle freight securely in different weather conditions
