Duties

• Operate dump trucks, with manual transmission to transport construction materials, debris, across designated routes.
• Drive route-specific deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
• Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, routes traveled, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers to coordinate schedules and address any logistical issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial driving environment.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation; experience with refrigerated trailers or tankers is a plus.
• Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling across different trailer types such as flatbeds or roll-offs.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to truck driving, including proper securing of loads and adherence to transportation regulations.
• Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts for loading or unloading cargo when necessary.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving freight movement over short or long distances preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
