Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other freight to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, demolition, or waste management projects with a focus on efficiency and safety.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks and related equipment such as roll-off trucks or flatbed trailers with precision and safety.
• Load and unload materials efficiently at designated sites, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent spillage or accidents.
• Drive along specified routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure punctual deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, lights, and safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, cargo details, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols related to manual transmission operation, refrigerated trailer handling (if applicable), and tanker or flatbed configurations.

Requirements

• Valid minimal class B driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and tractor-trailers.
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or freight delivery vehicles.
• Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation tools to optimize delivery times.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely under various conditions.
• Experience with load & unload procedures for freight, including handling specialized equipment like forklifts when necessary.
• Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-offs is a plus.
