Haas Sons, Inc. is seeking a Dump Truck Driver based out of our Thorp location. This is a seasonal, full-time position running from April through November. The typical schedule is Monday–Friday.

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
The Dump Truck Driver hauls aggregate and other materials to and from various job sites and locations to provide services to projects and customers. Drivers are responsible for operating and maintaining dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Work is fast paced and involves a lot of driving, loading, and communication with dispatch and site crews.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the dump truck to haul and deliver materials to pits, quarries, and residential and commercial construction sites
- Follow directions from the dispatcher and job site foreman
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections with appropriate documentation
- Performs day-to-day maintenance on vehicle (wash, grease, oil, fuel, coolant)
- Follow all local, state, federal, and DOT regulations and company safety rules
- Based on training and abilities, may operate mobile/heavy equipment as needed to load trucks
- May include various manual tasks, including but not limited to: shoveling, raking, sweeping, mechanical assistance, lifting, and operating various hand tools
- Accurately completes and submits all required paperwork timely: logs, time sheets, job sheets, sub-contractor paperwork, load sheets, etc.
- May collect payment from customers (cash or check); ensure accurate documentation of all transactions and timely submission of payments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized truck
- Communicate effectively with the crew on the job site, dispatchers, customers, and coworkers
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the organization
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Experience driving a commercial motor vehicle is preferred but not required
- Driver’s License: Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brakes
- Current Fed Med card is required · Dependable and safety focused
- Able to work overtime as required

- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Climbing in and out of trucks and equipment
- Sitting and driving for long periods of time
- Exposure to noise, dust, and weather

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
