Dump Truck Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure efficient delivery and compliance with safety standards. Duties

• Operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles such as roll-off trucks and flatbed trailers to transport materials efficiently across designated routes
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes taken, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times while adhering to load limits and weight restrictions

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
• Prior delivery driver experience involving freight load & unload procedures in various environments
• Knowledge of route driving best practices for efficiency and safety in different terrains and weather conditions
• Minimum 2 years of valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks
