VAC Enrichment is a nationwide leader in hands-on, project-based programs serving students from PreK through 8th grade. Our programs emphasize creativity, collaboration, and real-world skill building through engaging, student-centered experiences.

Our Dungeons & Dragons camps combine storytelling, strategy, and teamwork—helping students build confidence, communication skills, and creative thinking in a fun and structured environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking Dungeons & Dragons Camp Educators (Dungeon Masters) to lead or assist immersive, in-person tabletop role-playing camps.

Educators will guide students through campaigns, helping them:

  • Create characters
  • Collaborate as a team
  • Solve problems through storytelling and strategy
  • Build confidence through role-play and decision-making

You will use VAC-provided curriculum while bringing your own creativity and energy to each session.

This role is ideal for educators, camp counselors, D&D players, writers, and creative professionals who enjoy storytelling and working with students.

All interviews and trainings are conducted remotely. All camps are held in person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist Dungeons & Dragons sessions as a Dungeon Master or facilitator
  • Guide students through character creation, storytelling, and gameplay
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment
  • Encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving
  • Manage group dynamics and student behavior effectively
  • Prepare materials and set up daily sessions
  • Ensure student safety at all times
  • Communicate professionally with site staff and VAC leadership
  • Complete required onboarding, training, and background checks

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children (education, camps, tutoring, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Dungeons & Dragons or similar tabletop RPGs
  • Strong storytelling, improvisation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage small to medium groups of students
  • Creative, patient, flexible, and dependable
  • Comfortable following structured curriculum while adapting to student needs
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must have U.S. work authorization

Additional Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to assigned location
  • Ability to actively engage with students throughout the day
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and facilitating interactive activities

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Prior experience as a Dungeon Master
  • Teaching or camp counseling experience
  • Background in storytelling, theater, or creative writing
  • CPR/First Aid certification

Staffing Notes

We are hiring both Lead Teachers (Dungeon Masters) and Assistant Teachers. Compensation varies by role and program and is paid per camp.

Pay: From $700.00 per week
