Duty Doctor – Required Qualifications Educational Qualification
- MBBS from a recognized university (mandatory).
- Completion of rotatory internship.
- Must be registered with Tamilnadu State Medical Council / MCI (NMC).
- Additional certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – optional based on hospital
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in a hospital setting (freshers with internship experience can also apply).
- Experience in ICU, emergency, or general medicine is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies confidently.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work in shifts (day/night/rotational).
- Teamwork and coordination with medical and nursing staff.
- Strong documentation and observation skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Patient Care
- Conduct initial assessment and examination of patients.
- Take detailed medical history and record vital signs.
- Provide routine and emergency medical care.
- Monitor inpatient conditions, progress, and treatment response.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in emergency procedures (CPR, intubation, stabilization, etc.).
2. Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments.
- Ensure timely communication of patient condition to senior doctors.
- Maintain accurate and updated medical records, progress notes, and treatment charts.
- Report critical cases to concerned consultants immediately.
3. Emergency Handling
- Attend to emergency calls from wards, ICU, casualty, and OPD.
- Provide first-line management of trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other acute conditions.
- Support stabilization of critically ill patients.
4. Clinical Support
- Assist consultants during rounds and clinical procedures.
- Ensure implementation of treatment plans.
- Support diagnostic processes, ordering tests, and reviewing reports.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and infection-control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice.
- Participate in training, CME programs, and audits.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
