Duty Drawback Leader

Honeywell's Trade Compliance team ensures compliance with international trade regulations and manages the import and export activities of the company. We work closely with various functional teams, such as Legal, Finance, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth and compliant cross-border transactions. Our team plays a crucial role in maintaining Honeywell's reputation as a trusted global partner.

You will report directly to our Director of Trade Compliance, and you’ll work out of our Glendale, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

As a Trade Compliance Manager at Honeywell, you will have a direct impact on the company's global operations by ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Your expertise in import and export regulations, along with your ability to develop and implement trade compliance policies, will contribute to the smooth flow of cross-border transactions. By staying updated with changes in trade regulations and effectively communicating their impact to the organization, you will help Honeywell maintain its reputation as a trusted global partner. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with import and export regulations
  • Oversee the recovery of import duties, taxes, and fees for exported or destroyed goods, ensuring 100% compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters
  • Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in trade compliance
  • Deep understanding of U.S. Customs laws, particularly for manufacturing and unused merchandise drawback.
  • Experience in managing trade compliance programs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of trade compliance professionals

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in customs compliance and duty drawback management.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely compliance
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and effectively communicate trade compliance requirements
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and requirements, staying updated with industry trends and best practices
  • Experience with trade compliance software and digital tools to streamline compliance processes
