Duty Manager

Pakistan

Act on behalf of Hotel Management in their absence
Safeguard the financial interests of the company and maintain a professional attitude while upholding the service standards of the Hotel
Responsible for the continued monitoring of all departments in the absence of their Department Head
Coordinate the effective use of staff in accordance with the current collective agreement with regards to scheduling and overtime
Possess a thorough knowledge of the current collective agreement and how it applies to principals of Hotel operation
Possess working knowledge and ability to use telephone/online technical support of all Hotel computer systems and interfaces
Report all incidents and accidents using proper documentation
Perform regular patrols of the guest floors and guest access areas including, pool/fitness center and business center as well as any public areas of the hotel including the parkade
Check the exterior of the hotel and any access doors for any safety/security concerns
Communicate with maintenance/public cleaners to ensure that entrances are clean and free of any obstructions
Be aware of any functions occurring in the Hotel and be ready to assist catering/banquet team as required
Authorize voids and QSA’s as required, make adjustments when necessary
Assist with employee balancing cash-out if required
Coordinate Valet presence and breaks and assist with valet parking if required
In accordance with hotel policy, approve the eviction of guests from rooms if required
Conduct detailed room inspections when able
Coordinate any hotel evacuations or emergency situations in accordance with hotel policy
Takes on individual projects for specific departments as required.
Protects the hotel and its assets through enforcing and maintaining controls and practices to protect the hotels integrity.
Provides recommendations for personal and staff development of all departments and continuously works as a resource to all leaders to assist in maintaining progression plans.
Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to all staff and colleagues
Knowledgeable of hotel property, amenities, area attractions and transportation
Prepares for, attends and takes the appropriate actions for weekly/monthly and annual meetings as required by the Direct Report Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
