Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Monitoring
- Conduct regular ward rounds to check patients’ condition.
- Monitor vital signs, progress, and treatment plans.
- Provide immediate medical care during emergencies.
- Support consultants during procedures and clinical management.
- Treatment & Documentation
- Prescribe medications as per consultant’s advice.
- Maintain accurate case sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure completion of all medical documentation as per hospital policy.
- Emergency Management
- Attend casualty/emergency cases promptly.
- Initiate resuscitation, stabilization, and necessary investigations.
- Coordinate with specialists for further management.
- Coordination & Communication
- Liaise between consultants, nurses, and paramedical staff.
- Update patient relatives on condition and progress (as permitted).
- Assist in medico-legal cases (MLC) documentation.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Ensure proper handover of patient care during shift changes.
