Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care & Monitoring
  • Conduct regular ward rounds to check patients’ condition.
  • Monitor vital signs, progress, and treatment plans.
  • Provide immediate medical care during emergencies.
  • Support consultants during procedures and clinical management.
  • Treatment & Documentation
  • Prescribe medications as per consultant’s advice.
  • Maintain accurate case sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensure completion of all medical documentation as per hospital policy.
  • Emergency Management
  • Attend casualty/emergency cases promptly.
  • Initiate resuscitation, stabilization, and necessary investigations.
  • Coordinate with specialists for further management.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Liaise between consultants, nurses, and paramedical staff.
  • Update patient relatives on condition and progress (as permitted).
  • Assist in medico-legal cases (MLC) documentation.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
  • Ensure proper handover of patient care during shift changes.

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making ability.
  • Good communication and patient-handling skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.
  • Team-oriented with coordination skills.
