Job Description
Serves as the property Manager on Duty and oversees all property operations, ensuring that the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided. Represents property management in resolving any guest related situation. Manages the flow of questions and directs guests within the lobby.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving complaints and issues in a professional manner. Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to support property operations and goals and to expedite the resolution of any problems that may arise through the general operation of the property.
- Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with companies policies & brand standards.
- Financial Management: Assisting with budget planning, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial reports.
- Sales and Marketing: Implementing strategies to increase sales and promote the business.
- Problem Solving: Addressing any problems or emergencies that arise during the shift.
- Quality Control: Maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and product quality.
- Staff Management: Supervising and coordinating the activities of employees, assigning tasks, and ensuring staff are trained and motivated. Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Duty Managers often work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. They may be required to stand for long periods and handle stressful situations.
Qualifications
- Degree in hotel management or related field
- Previous experience in Front Office in Luxury Hotels
- Strong communication skills
- Familiar with Front Office Systems (i.e. Opera)
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
