Duty Medical Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Care:DMOs assess patients, diagnose conditions, administer treatments, and monitor their progress.
• Emergency Response:They handle emergency situations, providing immediate medical care and stabilizing patients.
• Coordination of Care:DMOs collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Record Keeping:They maintain accurate patient records, including histories, examinations, treatments, and progress notes.
• Compliance and Safety:DMOs ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control measures.
• Administrative Duties:They may be involved in tasks such as patient admissions and discharges, as well as risk management.
• Communication:DMOs communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Mentorship and Supervision:In some cases, DMOs may supervise junior doctors and other healthcare staff.
• Staying Updated:DMOs are expected to stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuing education.
