In this role, you have the opportunity to be a key driver in Diagnostic X-Ray (DXR)’s turnaround journey to profitable growth through leading the coordination of the productivity program across all DXR’s functions. In this role, you will implement improvement initiatives to achieve a higher cross-functional performance in the Variable Cost and I2M domain. You will focus on leading the program scope and boundaries, budget and timing to deliver on the performance goals as laid down in the DXR strategic plan.

Your Role:

  • Cost-down ownership of product remains with the respective Product Managers; this Productivity Leader role drives governance, coordination, cross-functional orchestration and execution discipline across the DXR productivity program.

  • Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) & Cost Management: Delivers VCP and Cost of Non Quality (CoNQ) targets to enhance business profitability to fulfill the productivity targets set by the DXR LT and drive profitable growth for DXR.

  • Strategic Partnership: Serves as a key partner to Finance, R&D, Procurement, Logistics, Services and regional leadership to create a deeper understanding of the cost buckets, interdependencies and opportunities.

  • E2E Variable & Factory Cost Price Roadmap: Develops a robust roadmap, decomposing the work into Projects and Workstreams on basis of the clarified roles & responsibilities. Handshaking content on resources, timing and budget with the different business functional team to draw up a mutually committed baselined roadmap against the predefined benchmarks.

  • Empowering Turn-around: Leads efforts with the cross-functional Productivity team to drive the P&L Productivity Program initiatives from ideation to completed execution and P&L delivery, identifying cost-saving opportunities through data analytics, ideation events (i.e. Kaizen, Gemba workshops, etc), detailing the priorities/ trade-off’s, investments & execution needs of the projects. Initiates multiple ideations boosts per year to ensure a continuous cycle of ideation and productivity focus across the full DXR organization.

  • Executional Excellence: Establishes and rolls-out a standardised, structured, and action-oriented reporting mechanism to track project performance (ROI, annual savings, P&L impact) & lead cross-functional teams to clear execution roadblocks. Utilizing this platform to create transparency, insight and a singular focus across all functions on the DXR productivity program.

  • Risk Assessment: Identifies potential risks to the P&L (i.e. tariffs, inflation, etc.) to counter with additional P&L productivity build into the E2E roadmap.

  • Speed to Execution: Proactively drives initiatives to reduce the time from ideation to execution and from execution to P&L impact to speed up deliver on the set out DXR LT targets.

  • Change Leadership: Is a catalyst for change to ensure DXR evolves in its productivity mindset through continuously improving the quality & quantity of output per ideation cycle. Build an ambassador network to drive the change from within the departments as well as with senior leadership using clear communication cadence to timely address any concerns. Mentoring the teams on methodologies and tools, to enable successful execution in line or as improvement versus plan.

Fosters Leadership: Creates nurturing open and authentic relations with the DXR LT and key partners to maintain management focus, accountability and assure continued support.


You will be part of the DXR Leadership Team and accountable to the Business Unit Leader of Diagnostic X-Ray.

You are the right fit:

  • Finance, Engineering or Business Administration Master’s Degree;
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic teammate who strongly engages, drives actions, identifies and removes roadblocks, and is eager, proactive and self-propelling.
  • Driving transformation in organizational design and projects in complex environments with 10+ years of leadership experience in a (medical) corporate environments, with a proven track record in driving high-impact projects.
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to leverage large data sets for actionable business insights.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean methodologies, Scaled Agile deployment, project management, and financial acumen.
  • Solid understanding of the Advanced Development (AD), Product Development, Launch and Maintenance (PDLM) & Modify Launched Design (MLD) processes to support timely delivery on innovation cycles.
  • Solid understanding of productivity methodologies such as Design for Excellence (DfX), product teardowns & should costing techniques.
  • Supply chain & process improvement known-how in the medical domain
  • Proficiency in driving change management and influencing senior leadership in a highly matrixed, multi-cultural environment.

How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This role is an office-based role.
