DYER PAINTER

Job Summary:

The Dyer / Painter is responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paints, dyes, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, furniture, and equipment. The role ensures all work is completed to high-quality standards, maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer or base coats.
• Mix and match paints, dyes, or stains to achieve required color and texture.
• Apply paint, varnish, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• Protect adjacent surfaces and objects using masking, taping, or covering materials.
• Inspect painted or dyed surfaces for quality, smoothness, and even coverage.
• Perform touch-ups, repairs, and refinishing as required.
• Maintain tools, spray equipment, and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals, solvents, and paints.
• Read and interpret work orders, color specifications, and material data sheets.
• Collaborate with other trades to coordinate finishing work on-site.
