Role Overview – Senior Specialist - Dynamic Technical Consultant

PURPOSE

As a member of the Microsoft Dynamics Center of Excellence team, you design, implement, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations – Finance Domain from functional and technical perspectives. The project delivery approach envisaged for programs of this nature requires working in an agile, iterative manner to create the minimum viable product and to add additional functionalities iteratively. You will be working with Business and IT stakeholders to achieve business objectives through innovative solutions that align people, processes, and technology. Your deep technical knowledge and skills in D365 F&O will allow you to work with confidence and ensure the success of the business, the project, and yourself.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

STRATEGIC

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align D365 architecture with enterprise strategy.
• Develop scalable technical solutions to support long-term digital transformation goals.
• Evaluate new Microsoft technologies for potential integration into existing D365 environments.
• Contribute to ERP roadmap planning by providing technical insights and innovation opportunities.
• Support strategic decision-making with feasibility studies and system capability assessments.

OPERATIONAL

• Design, customize, and deploy D365 modules across Finance, SCM, Sales, and Customer Service.
• Develop and maintain extensions using X++, .NET, Power Platform, and Azure services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, integration issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and manage D365 environments, including builds, deployments, and LCS setup.
• Ensure compliance with Microsoft best practices, security protocols, and data governance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Mentor junior developers and technical analysts to build team capability.
• Liaise between functional consultants and developers to streamline technical delivery.
• Lead technical review meetings, code walkthroughs, and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Coordinate with external vendors and partners on collaborative development projects.
• Guide team members through certification and career development pathways.

Product/ Process Improvement

• Develop custom features to enhance user experience and business functionality.
• Optimize the existing codebase for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Automate recurring tasks using workflows, plugins, and Power Automate.
• Streamline deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Refine technical documentation to support continuous improvement and onboarding.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Microsoft certified professional.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or CE technical architecture.
• Strong command of development tools, including Visual Studio, X++, LCS, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with data migration, integration (OData, APIs), and cloud architecture.
• Skilled in performance tuning, debugging, and system optimization.
• Effective communicator with strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 to 8 years of Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O implementation experience as a technical consultant.
• Experience in the implementation and support of enterprise projects.
