The ideal candidate will have experience with rotating machinery, nuclear quality standards, and advanced instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute dynamic test plans for complex components and assemblies
  • Install and configure sensors, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems for vibration and modal testing
  • Analyze test data to evaluate system performance, identify anomalies, and support design validation
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to refine test setups and resolve issues
  • Ensure all testing activities comply with NQA-1, DOE, and NRC regulations
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for test failures or deviations
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and regulatory compliance records
  • Assist in the development of automated test systems and custom instrumentation setups
  • Provide technical input during design reviews and support commissioning activities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in dynamic testing of mechanical systems, preferably in the nuclear, aerospace, or defense industries
  • Proficiency in vibration analysis, modal testing, and rotating equipment diagnostics
  • Experience with DAQ systems and analysis software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, LMS Test.Lab)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Dynamics
  • Experience supporting DOE or NRC-regulated projects
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance standards, specifically NQA-1
  • Certification in vibration analysis or non-destructive testing (NDT)
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and contamination control
  • Knowledge of high-speed balancing and dynamic stability analysis

Other Job Requirements:
