Job Title: Online Sales Manager
Location: Kolkata

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Online Sales Manager for our online sales operations. This individual will be responsible for strategizing and executing the growth of our online sales channels, including B2C e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and our brand website. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital sales, e-commerce backend management, product listing, and order handling. Knowledge on Shopify is a must.

Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute comprehensive online sales strategies to increase revenue and reach across all digital platforms.
  • Identify new online avenues (marketplaces, D2C platforms, aggregators) for product distribution and sales.
  • Analyze customer behavior and industry trends to optimize sales tactics and marketing campaigns.

2. Product Listing & Catalog Management

  • Manage accurate and SEO-optimized product listings on all B2C platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, and the company’s own website.
  • Coordinate with design and inventory teams for product photography, descriptions, and specs.
  • Ensure consistency in product representation across all channels.

3. E-Commerce Website Management

  • Oversee backend operations of the company’s e-commerce website including inventory sync, order processing, payment gateway, and technical troubleshooting (in coordination with the web team).
  • Optimize website user experience (UX) for better conversion rates.
  • Work closely with marketing and content teams to ensure product visibility and customer engagement.

4. Order Processing & Fulfillment

  • Monitor and manage the entire order lifecycle – from order receipt to dispatch and delivery across all online platforms.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams for timely and accurate dispatch.
  • Track shipment, returns, and refunds; handle escalations in collaboration with customer support.

5. Sales Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain regular reports on sales metrics, platform performance, and ROI.
  • Use data analytics tools to assess product performance and customer engagement.
  • Forecast inventory needs and manage reordering schedules to avoid stock-outs.

6. Team Coordination & Vendor Management

  • Liaise with marketplace managers and platform account managers for growth campaigns and promotions.
  • Negotiate platform fees, commissions, and advertising plans where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in online sales, preferably in fashion, home décor, or consumer goods.
  • Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing concepts and tools (Google Analytics, SEO, PPC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and order processing software.
