Overview

We’re hiring an Ecommerce Marketplace Sales Associate. In this role you will be responsible for optimizing sales and performance for products sold on industrial machine parts marketplaces by managing product listings, advertising campaigns, and inventory. You will act as the brand's advocate on these platforms, using data analysis to develop strategies that improve product visibility, conversion rates, and overall revenue. This role is perfect for someone with expertise in implementing, managing, and growing sales both domestically and internationally, knows how to optimize and streamline listings and SKU performance, capable of managing everything from listings to paid media to inventory forecasting, and has a design eye for photographing industrial equipment.

This is a full-time and in-person position based in Monroe, WA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and Execute Growth Strategy for Marketplace Platforms: Develop and implement tailored growth plans for each marketplace. Use data, trends, and category insights to drive sales, visibility, and profitability.
  • Study and Understand Buyer Behavior: Leverage ad platforms, SEO ranking, and buying trends to outsmart competitors and optimize both organic and paid performance.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Growth Initiatives: Collaborate closely with HDT’s creative, supply chain, operations, and marketing to ensure seamless coordination between content, inventory, fulfillment, and advertising on and product marketplaces.
  • Optimize Product Lifecycle: Oversee listing optimization, review acquisition, pricing adjustments, bundling strategies, and re-ranking campaigns to maximize product success.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Continuously monitor performance dashboards, analyze data, and identify actionable insights. Execute rapid test-and-learn cycles to increase traffic, conversion, and minimize inefficiencies.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Marketplace Revenue Growth: Track overall sales performance and year-over-year growth across all platforms.
  • Profitability per Channel: Ensure profitable scaling across platforms by tracking contribution margins after ad spend, fees, and fulfillment.
  • Operational Efficiency: Measure inventory health, fulfillment speed, return rates, and resolve any listing issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Listing & Content Optimization Performance: Evaluate product visibility, conversion rates, keyword ranking, and content accuracy.
  • Advertising Effectiveness: Assess campaign ROI, ad cost control (ACOS/TACoS), and the impact of paid media on sales growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proven experience scaling marketplace revenue on ecommerce marketplaces.
  • Strong understanding of listing optimization, keyword research, and paid media management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., CRM software, email, and productivity tools).
  • Genuine interest in solving complex problems for customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with industrial machinery parts.

Experience & Education:

  • 1-2 years managing marketplace channels.
  • Degree not required—execution and results matter most.
