The E-commerce & Modern Retail Sales Head will be responsible for driving business growth through online channels (marketplaces, company website, D2C) and modern retail formats (supermarkets, hypermarkets, large-format stores).
The role involves planning and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with e-commerce platforms and modern trade partners, and ensuring profitability and market share growth.
E-commerce Sales:
- Manage sales on major marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.) and the company’s own e-commerce website.
- Develop and execute digital sales strategies to increase revenue, traffic, and conversion rates.
- Plan and manage online campaigns, discounts, and promotions.
- Optimize product listings with strong content, images, SEO, and keywords.
- Track and analyze sales performance, ROI, and customer behavior.
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams for performance ads, SEO, and social commerce.
Modern Retail (Modern Trade) Sales:
- Establish and grow business with key modern trade partners (Reliance Retail, D-Mart, Big Bazaar, etc.).
- Negotiate listings, margins, shelf space, and in-store promotions.
- Build and manage distributor and retailer networks.
- Monitor stock availability, replenishment, and timely execution of supply.
- Drive visibility and brand presence through planograms, promotions, and events.
General:
- Develop annual sales forecasts and budgets for e-commerce & modern trade channels.
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (buyers, category managers, partners).
- Lead, train, and motivate sales teams.
- Ensure smooth coordination with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.
- 8 to10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 to 5 years in e-commerce & modern trade.
- Experience in FMCG, Consumer Durables, Retail, or E-commerce industries preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of digital sales tools, analytics, and ERP systems.
