Senior E-commerce Product Sourcing Specialist

Core Objectives

Identify high-potential products that align with Indian consumer trends through data-driven tools and market insights.Build a differentiated product matrix to support GMV growth and optimize inventory health.

Job Responsibilities

1.Market Analysis and Product Sourcing Strategy

* Utilize tools such as Jungle Scout and Helium 10 to monitor best-seller lists,keyword search volumes,and competitor dynamics on platforms like Flipkart and Amazon.in.Identify niche blue ocean categories(e.g.,heat-resistant electronics,festival-customized products).

* Develop a seasonal product sourcing calendar based on Indian religious festivals(e.g.,Diwali,Holi)and climate characteristics,planning best-sellers three months in advance.

2.Supplier Development and Cost Control

* Develop high-quality supply chain resources from China(e.g.,sourcing from 1688 cross-border supply).Lead price negotiations to ensure procurement costs are at least 15%lower than competitors.

* Verify suppliers'compliance with BIS certification(mandatory for electronics)and FSSAI food licenses to avoid delisting risks.

3.Data-Driven Product Operations

* Establish a product sourcing database to track key metrics such as a turnover rate>30%and a return rate<8%(average in India is 25%).Eliminate underperforming SKUs.

* Manage inventory turnover through ERP systems(target≤45 days)and collaborate with logistics teams to optimize warehouse distribution strategies.

4.Localization and Innovation Implementation

* Analyze social media trends in India(e.g.,popular topics on Josh/Moj)to develop"unboxing-friendly"products suitable for influencer marketing.

* Design small-sized trial packs and cash-back incentive products for regions with high UPI payment and COD(Cash on Delivery)ratios.

Qualifications

1.Essential Requirements

* Proficiency in product sourcing tools(Jungle Scout,Keepa),data analysis tools(Power BI,Tableau),and ERP systems.

* Over 2 years of cross-border e-commerce product sourcing experience,with familiarity with Indian market policies such as BIS and FSSAI.

* Working proficiency in English and basic reading and writing skills in Hindi(required to interpret local customer reviews).

2.Preferred Qualifications

* Access to Chinese supply chain resources(e.g.,Yiwu and Shenzhen industrial belts).

* Successful track record of creating best-sellers in India with an average order value of5-20.

* Familiarity with local Indian e-commerce platform algorithms(e.g.,the weight of Flipkart's F-Assured label).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
