About the Position
The E-Lab Vehicle Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting vehicle-level system and feature tests performed.
This role covers validation activities on the CVS test fleet and engineering breadboards (LV/HV EBB), ensuring that new vehicle features and software functions are tested systematically and safely in alignment with Ford global standards.
The position plays a key role in bridging vehicle-level testing and laboratory-based validation processes to support full vehicle portfolio, from conventional to electrified and connected programs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and document vehicle-level system and feature validation tests (including Running Change, OTA, PEC/FEC, Launch mini-DV tests).
Manage and maintain the CVS software test fleet, ensuring software versions, configurations, and BOM/SW BOM data are up to date.
Prepare vehicle test setups, perform instrumentations, and execute both static and limited dynamic vehicle tests.
Upload test results to JIRA or Azure Board, ensure traceability, and track closure of test findings.
Perform root cause analysis and support retest activities for failed tests (NOK data).
Coordinate vehicle transfers, scheduling, and driver assignments between Gölcük, Sancaktepe, and other test sites.
Manage vehicle maintenance, insurance, and T-plate processes in alignment with Ford operational procedures.
Ensure the availability and calibration of measurement tools (power supply, data loggers, CAN tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Cooperate closely with E-Lab, VEV, System Integration and CVS teams to define test priorities and align program timelines.
Support development of test procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement of E-Lab’s vehicle testing capability.
Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, and Ford safety/fire standards in all test operations.
This role may occasionally require conducting or supporting tests at other Ford Otosan and partner locations such as Istanbul (Sancaktepe), Eskişehir, and Craiova (Romania).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
Experience or strong interest in vehicle testing, feature validation, or software verification.
Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and test tools such as CANalyzer, DET, Vector Tools, Python.
Familiarity with feature and system-level validation methods (Functional Proveout, Anomaly Testing, Fuse Pull, Ground Lift, KOL) is a plus.
Awareness of EV systems and HV safety practices is a plus.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and reporting skills.
Good communication, teamwork, and coordination abilities
English proficiency at B1 level or above.
Residing in or willing to relocate to Kocaeli.
