Job description

Our family owned and operated centers in Aurora, IL are growing! Over the last 19_ years_ we've been in business, we have expanded greatly and are now part of the federally funded programs Early Head Start, Head Start, and Preschool For All. What this means is we have smaller classroom sizes, support from the programs such as Teacher Coaches (to help you understand the processes), Mental Health Specialists (for children who you have concerns about), and various other support systems. We have competitive pay and room for growth. The program helps teachers advance their careers with professional development planning and assistance with finding financial aid or scholarships.

We are seeking energetic teachers and assistants that interact with the children by singing, playing, and making their days fun! Must follow an organized plan from day to day and keep a structured curriculum with circle time, lesson plans, art, and learning/interest centers, sensory tables, etc. Teachers in these positions will be preparing small children for preschool classrooms by easing them into organized education. Many of the children are from families deemed at-risk for one reason or another and need nurturing, understanding teachers. You will play an important role in their lives. This is not just babysitting! Applicants must have genuine fondness and patience for children. Our goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the children so they can easily adjust to the next level of their education.
