Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood education standards, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and creative activities.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and track student progress.
- Design engaging lesson plans that promote hands-on learning, social skills, and cognitive development across diverse age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists in special education to meet individual requirements.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children’s progress and developmental milestones.
- Incorporate Montessori or other specialized educational philosophies into daily routines to support varied learning styles and developmental needs.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with children in preschool or childcare settings.
- Familiarity with instructional design, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and library services relevant to early learners.
- Ability to utilize learning technology platforms such as LMS for instructional delivery and assessment purposes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists while advocating for children's needs.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs to ensure inclusive classroom environments.
- Skilled in conflict management, behavior management strategies, and maintaining a nurturing classroom atmosphere.
