Early Childhood Educator

Job Summary

We are a private daycare and preschool with a capacity of 12 children that is going to expand to a center-based capacity seeking a passionate, compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator; director qualified, infant-preschool teacher, teacher’s aide to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant educational environment.

Job Description and Responsibilities
- Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children
- Supervise the children's activities at all times
- Plan and prepare meals and bottles for, and feed, the children
- Create fun activities, curriculum and monthly calendar
- Create Newsletter about the upcoming activities
- Prepare progress report and yearly calendar
- Place the children down for naps and bedtime
- Change diapers and potty train the children
- Perform light housekeeping related to child care, such as assisting in child meal prep, cleaning up child play area
- Teach the children good social manners
- Engage with the children, both indoors and outdoors
- Plan and lead age appropriate educational activities, including reading, with the children
- Maintain professionalism in punctuality and dressing.

Requirements:

1. Role:

Infant/Toddler Director Qualified:

  • 12 core ECE semester units (Core ECE units: Principles and practices of teaching young children, child growth and development, the child, the family and the community, social and emotional foundations for early learning and introduction to curriculum).
  • 3 semester units related to infant care.
  • 3 semester units in preschool or staff relation administration.
  • Preventative Health and Safety training certificate.
  • 4 consecutive years teaching experience with children under age 5 years old in a childcare center or home-based childcare facility.

Teacher:

  • 12 core ECE semester units (Core ECE units: Principles and practices of teaching young children, child growth and development, the child, the family and the community, social and emotional foundations for early learning and introduction to curriculum).
  • 3 semester units related to observation and assessment
  • 2 consecutive years of experience in a childcare center or home-based childcare facility.

Teacher’s Aide:

  • 6 ECE units (Child development/human growth and child and family community)
  • 2 consecutive years of experience in a childcare center or home-based childcare facility.

2. TB clearance must be completed prior to hire

3. Immunizations records (MMR, Tdap and flu vaccine) must be complete prior to hire.

4. Pediatric CPR and first aid certificate

5. Mandated Reporter Training

In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a safe positive classroom atmosphere, and support the holistic development of children from infants to preschool age. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth is prioritized.

Pay Scale for Full Time Employment

  • $72K - 93K per year, Infant/Preschool Director (Director Qualified or Director Permit). Manages daily operations, teaches one out of two classrooms, ensures safety/licensing compliance, hires and coaches staff, and leads curriculum development for children from birth to age 5. The role is responsible for fostering a nurturing environment, managing budgets, and building strong relationships with families. Key requirements include early childhood education expertise and leadership skills.
  • $52K - $65K per year, Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teacher (Associate Teacher or Teacher Permit). Leads program activities. Offers and designs preschool curriculum for classrooms of 12 children. Promotes growth in all aspects of development by lesson plans. Create progress reports based on observation and assessment. Implement curriculum development and manage/delegate tasks to teacher’s aide,
  • $41K - $51K per year, Assistant Teacher, Teacher’s Aide (minimum 6 ECE units), Pediatric CPR and First Aid, supports teachers by supervising children, implementing, aiding in and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Key duties include assisting with lesson plans, preparing materials, guiding children in social/emotional growth, managing routines like snack/nap time, and aiding in toileting or diapering.

Pay: $41,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
