Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Implementation:
- Facilitate the Advance Montessori syllabus, focusing on complex Exercises of Practical Life (EPL), advanced Sensorial work, and Decimal System Mathematics.
- Lead the transition from phonetic sounds to sentence construction and creative writing in English and Urdu.
- Introduce abstract concepts through Montessori concrete materials (e.g., Bead Frames, Moveable Alphabet).
- Prepared Environment:
- Design and maintain a meticulously organized, aesthetic, and "prepared" classroom that invites self-directed learning.
- Ensure all Montessori apparatus is complete, clean, and accessible to students.
- Observation & Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed observation logs for each child to track their "sensitive periods" and developmental milestones.
- Prepare individualized progress reports and portfolios for parent-teacher conferences.
- Student Mentorship:
- Foster a sense of community and leadership, encouraging older children to mentor younger peers.
- Promote grace, courtesy, and self-discipline without the need for traditional rewards or punishments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate degree (B.A/B.Sc) from a recognized university.
- Certification: Diploma in Montessori Method of Education (Early Childhood) from a reputable training center (e.g., AMI, MMTI, or PMC).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience specifically teaching Advance Montessori / Prep levels.
- Skills: * Mastery over the use of Montessori apparatus and pedagogy.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) to model correct pronunciation and vocabulary.
- Creative ability to design DIY teaching aids and classroom decor.
