Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that integrate literacy, math, physical education, and project-based curriculum to support holistic child development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Manage classroom activities using effective behavior-management strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being.
- Conduct assessments aligned with developmental standards and early intervention practices to monitor each child's progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Engage in lesson planning that integrates childcare best practices, including toddler care and preschool experience techniques.
- Collaborate with families, specialists in special education, and child welfare professionals to support individual learning needs and promote inclusive education.
- Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, student progress, and incident reports to ensure compliance with licensing standards and best practices.
- Incorporate teaching physical education and tutoring sessions to foster well-rounded development in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Experience
- Prior classroom management experience in early childhood settings, such as daycare centers or private schools, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various domains, including literacy education, math, and physical education.
- Experience working with children of different age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers, with a focus on childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with Reggio-inspired or Project-Based methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
