Early Childhood Educators – Multiple Openings (Preschool & Pre-K)

We are hiring a Preschool Teacher (ages 2–4), a Support Teacher, and a Pre-Kinder/TK Teacher Assistant (ages 4–5). We’re looking for enthusiastic educators passionate about a nature-based curriculum with an emphasis on the outdoor classroom and STEM. The Preschool Teacher will lead daily activities for young learners, the Pre-K/TK Teacher Assistant will collaborate with a former LAUSD teacher, and the Support Teacher will assist across classrooms to ensure smooth operations. Together, our team creates a nurturing, engaging environment where children can explore, discover, and develop a deep respect for the world around them.

Hours are 8:30 am–5:00 pm (flexible), with on-the-job training from our Assistant Director. Compensation is negotiable based on experience—amazing educators deserve amazing pay!

Responsibilities:

• Develop themes and activities around STEM and an enriching nature-based curriculum
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff
• Design teaching materials using resources from the environment
• Safe sleep tracking and reporting
• Maintain an inviting, clean, and organized outdoor space
• Working with the other teacher to ensuring the safety of children
• Helping children with toileting/diapering
• Providing supervision of children and supporting children during both outdoor and indoor play
• Keep classrooms and program materials clean and well organized
• Supervise lunch and prepare and serve snack
• Track and communicate progress regularly for parents and caregivers
• Writing a weekly newsletter

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Minimum: 12 units in Early Childhood Education
• 1 year experience working with children in a preschool setting as a teacher
• Infant/Toddler units a plus
• Outdoor classroom training a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, and moving while supervising children
• Occasionally lift and/or move children of all sizes
• Comfortable getting dirty with sand and dirt

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
