Early Childhood infant teacher or floater

Whether you’re leading a classroom or supporting multiple age groups as a floater, your energy and dedication will help shape the foundational years of our youngest learners. Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes exploration, learning, and social-emotional development for infants and toddlers.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones, including motor skills, language acquisition, and cognitive growth.
  • Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, daily activities, and any incidents or observations.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children’s needs, milestones, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Support classroom management by organizing materials, managing transitions smoothly, and maintaining a clean environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, preschool environments, or as a nanny or babysitter.
  • Ability to obtain early childhood educator qualification
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs while demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with children, families, and team members professionally.
