Abeona House Child Discovery Center is seeking substitute teachers for immediate start.

Abeona House Child Discovery Center provides exceptional childcare and early childhood education to children ages six weeks to five years. A non-profit childcare center inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we serve families in the Greater New Orleans area from diverse backgrounds with joy, equity, and love. We are located in Mid-City, inside First Grace Church at the intersection of Canal and S Norman C Feancis We are not affiliated with First Grace.

Qualifications

• Experience working working with or caring for young children.
• Willingness to learn about the Reggio Emilia Approach
• Our curriculum is developed by our teachers in response to the interests of the child. Preferred candidates will demonstrate an interest in observing, making, creating, researching, and exploring.

Hours- Substitute Teachers

We typically need subs for three different shifts, 7:15 to 3:15, 8:00 to 5:00, or 12:30 to 5:45.

Compensation- Substitute Teacher

Our substitute teachers are paid $15.00.
